About
One principal. A network behind him.
Equitas LLC is led by Kyle Francis and staffed per engagement from a vetted network of subcontractors. Clients get a senior practitioner on the work instead of a senior name on the proposal and a junior one on the project.
Principal
Kyle Francis — Founder & Principal Consultant
Kyle has spent more than eight years leading enterprise software implementations, the large majority of them for electric, gas, and water utilities. He has delivered over forty implementations end to end, seven of them programs valued between $1M and $4M, covering advanced metering infrastructure, meter data and asset management, and customer information systems.
The common thread is programs that cross organizational lines — where the schedule belongs to everyone and therefore to no one. The practice is building the one plan every party can execute against, and keeping it honest as conditions change.
Before consulting, Kyle worked in health information technology and adjudicated federal benefits claims for the Social Security Administration. He served in the United States Army from 2005 to 2010 and was honorably discharged as a Sergeant.

The name
Equitas means even dealing.
It is the Latin root of equity in its original sense: fairness, balance, dealing straight. It was chosen as an operating standard rather than a slogan, and it has three practical consequences.
The status report is accurate
A program that is behind is reported as behind, the first week it is behind — not the week before go-live when it can no longer be absorbed.
The estimate is the estimate
Scope changes are identified and priced when they appear. No discovery of a change order at the end of a phase.
The client’s interest comes first
Including when that means telling a client their vendor is right, their internal team is the constraint, or the engagement should end early.
